Discipline with Consequences
The teacher is the 'captain of the ship' and is responsible for the environment of the classroom. To create the best possible learning environment, there must be law and order in the classroom enforced by rules and regulations. Through consistent application of consequences in addition to positive reinforcement, students can be motivated to learn on their own. A good teacher knows how to draw the best out of his students, to sustain their engagement in the lesson if the students find it meaningful and relevant to their lives.
