Do Your Best
Doing your best is not the same as excellence. It means giving your best effort regardless the outcome. It is a work ethic that drives every facet of one's being no matter how big or small the task. When students are encouraged to try their best, the classroom becomes optimized for creative flowering. Only through such trial and error can breakthroughs be achieved in innovation and the arts and sciences. Because we learn more from our mistakes than our successes, failures can only help us improve. Young children are not afraid of being wrong; we must not educate them out of this capacity (Robinson, 2006).
