Beginning in 2008, I took up running and have been doing about four miles a day from Mon - Fri. It helps to relieve my stress and keeps me healthy.

I started to drink red wine seriously in 1998. My father and I collect Bordeaux and Burgundy as a hobby. Since then, I completed a diploma in wine-tasting at UCLA Extension and have read numerous wine publications to improve my knowledge.

As a boy, there was nothing I loved more than animals. My favorite is the above 'king of the beasts.' The only books I wanted to read were animal books and to this day, I am still entranced by the power and grace of the big cats.

I only decided that I wanted to become a teacher during my junior year at USC. Because of my passion for history, people told me that I was an excellent story-teller who could make any topic understandable. It was a revelation to me and I loved the opportunity to work with kids and teach them the history of the world. I want people to see what I see and understand what I understand and that is my calling as a teacher. I have been fortunate to travel all over Europe and to see the historical edifices that man has left behind. It makes it all come alive and brings us closer to our past.
